3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove all packaging materials. Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper ventilation (at least 2 inches on sides and back).

3.2 Installing Handle and Bottle Opener

The retro handle and side bottle opener are typically shipped detached to prevent damage. Attach them using the provided screws. The handle slides into place, and the bottle opener requires two screws for secure mounting.

3.3 Door Reversibility

The door hinges are reversible, allowing you to change the door swing direction to best suit your space. Refer to the detailed instructions in the separate door reversal guide (if included) or contact customer support for assistance.

3.4 Initial Power-On

After placement and assembly, plug the refrigerator into a dedicated power outlet. Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant to settle. This ensures optimal cooling performance.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Temperature Control

The refrigerator features an adjustable thermostat with 6 settings, typically ranging from 0 (off) to 5 or 6 (coldest). The freezer temperature ranges from 24.8°F to 42.8°F, and the fridge temperature ranges from 35.6°F to 44.6°F. Adjust the dial to your desired cooling level. Setting '3' is often recommended for general use.

4.2 Internal Storage

The refrigerator is equipped with adjustable glass shelves and door racks for versatile storage. The door features a unique soda rack designed to auto-refill cans as they are removed. A crisper drawer is located at the bottom for fruits and vegetables.

4.3 Ice Cube Tray

An ice cube tray is included for making ice in the freezer compartment. Note that the freezer compartment is not suitable for long-term storage of ice cream or items requiring deep freezing.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Manual Defrost

This refrigerator features a manual defrost system. When frost accumulates to a thickness of about 1/4 inch (6mm), the freezer compartment should be defrosted. To defrost, unplug the unit, remove all contents, and allow the frost to melt naturally. Place a towel or shallow pan to catch melted water. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice.

5.2 Cleaning

Clean the interior and exterior of the refrigerator regularly with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Clean the door gasket to ensure a tight seal.

6. Troubleshooting

Before contacting customer service, please check the following common issues:
