4. Setup

4.1 Attaching the Cable

1. Identify the left (L) and right (R) earpieces and the corresponding cable connectors. The cable connectors are typically marked with L and R.
2. Align the MMCX connector on the cable with the port on the earpiece. Ensure the orientation is correct.
3. Gently push the connector into the port until you feel a click. Do not force it.
4. To detach, firmly grasp the earpiece and the cable connector, then pull them straight apart. Avoid pulling on the cable itself.

4.2 Selecting Ear Tips

Proper ear tip selection is crucial for sound quality and comfort. Experiment with the various sizes and materials provided to find the best fit for your ears. A good seal ensures optimal bass response and passive noise isolation.

4.3 Connecting to Audio Source

The FX15 cable features interchangeable termination plugs. Select either the 3.5mm single-ended plug or the 4.4mm balanced plug based on your audio source's output. 5.1 Wearing the IEMs

Insert the earpieces into your ear canals. The cable is designed to loop over the top of your ear for a secure and comfortable fit. Adjust the earpieces until they feel snug and create a good seal.

5.2 Electrostatic Driver On/Off Switch

The FIIO FX15 features a small switch on each earpiece that allows you to toggle the electrostatic drivers on or off. This enables you to experience the sound signature with and without the ultra-high frequency extension provided by the EST drivers.

• "ON" Position: Electrostatic drivers are active, providing enhanced treble detail and airiness.
• "OFF" Position: Electrostatic drivers are inactive.
