3. Setup
The Nitecore MH12 Pro comes with a pre-installed battery. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the battery.
3.1 Battery Installation
Ensure the battery is correctly oriented with the positive (+) terminal facing the head of the flashlight. The MH12 Pro uses a 21700 Li-ion battery (NL2153HP 5300mAh included).
3.2 Charging
The flashlight features a built-in USB-C charging port for convenient recharging. Simply lift the rubber flap covering the USB-C port located on the side of the flashlight head and connect the provided USB-C charging cable to a power source. The power indicators next to the mode button will show the charging status.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
Press the tactical tail switch to turn the flashlight on or off. A half-press allows for momentary activation.
4.2 Brightness Levels and Modes
The MH12 Pro offers 5 brightness settings (Ultra Low, Low, Mid, High, Turbo) and 3 special modes (Strobe, SOS, Beacon). Use the mode button located on the side of the flashlight head to cycle through these settings when the flashlight is on.

4.3 User Modes (Daily vs. Tactical)
The flashlight supports two user modes: Daily Mode and Tactical Mode. Daily Mode provides access to all 5 brightness levels and 3 special modes. Tactical Mode prioritizes instant access to Turbo, High, Mid, Low, Ultra Low, and Strobe, making it ideal for rapid response situations.

4.4 Sensor Protection Function
The MH12 Pro is equipped with a built-in optical sensor that detects obstructions at close distances. When an obstruction is detected, the flashlight brightness will automatically decrease to prevent accidental activation and avoid overheating of illuminated objects. This enhances safety during use.
