Product Overview

This document provides essential information for the use and maintenance of the replacement remote control compatible with Vivitek Novo Touch EK853IEK653I, EK753I 4K HD Creative Touch Interactive Flat Panel LED Displays. This remote operates via infrared (IR) technology.

Important Note: This is a replacement remote control. It may not offer all functions present on the original remote. No programming is required for its operation. Batteries and detailed instructions are not included with the product.

Setup and Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Gently slide the battery compartment cover downwards or outwards to open it.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the indicators inside the compartment. Incorrect insertion can prevent the remote from functioning.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions

This remote control operates using infrared (IR) signals. For optimal performance, ensure a clear line of sight between the remote's IR emitter (located at the front tip) and the IR receiver on your Vivitek Novo Touch display.

• Power On/Off: Press the Power button to turn the display on or off.
• Navigation: Use the directional arrow buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) and the Enter button to navigate menus and select options on the display.
• Volume Control: Adjust the audio volume using the VOL+ and VOL- buttons.
• Channel/Input Selection: Use the CH+ and CH- buttons or dedicated input buttons (if available and supported) to change channels or switch input sources.
• No Programming Needed: This replacement remote is designed to work out-of-the-box with compatible Vivitek Novo Touch models without any complex setup or code entry.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your remote control.

• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's responsiveness decreases or it stops functioning. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new ones.
• Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the remote. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

  • Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the display's IR receiver. Obstructions can block the signal.
  • Confirm the remote is pointed directly at the display.
• Certain Functions Not Working:
  • As a replacement remote, some advanced or specific functions of your original Vivitek Novo Touch remote may not be supported. This is a known characteristic of replacement units.
  • Refer to your display's original manual to confirm if the function is typically controlled by an IR remote.
• Interference:
  • Bright light sources (especially fluorescent lights) or other IR devices can sometimes interfere with the remote's signal. Try operating the remote in a different lighting condition or away from other IR emitters.
