- Crown: Used for setting time and date.
- Pushers (A & B): Used for operating the stopwatch function.
- Main Dial: Displays hours, minutes, and seconds.
- Sub-dials: Include stopwatch minute counter, stopwatch second counter, and a 24-hour indicator.
- Strap: Genuine leather strap with a buckle clasp.
Setup Instructions
1. Setting the Time
- Pull the crown out to position 2 (the outermost position).
- Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands until the desired time is displayed. Ensure the 24-hour sub-dial aligns correctly for AM/PM.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back into position 0 (normal operating position).
2. Setting the Date
- Pull the crown out to position 1 (the first click).
- Rotate the crown to adjust the date.
- Once the date is set, push the crown back into position 0.
Note: Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism. If you need to set the date during this period, first set the time outside this range, adjust the date, then reset the time.
3. Adjusting the Strap
The genuine leather strap features a standard buckle clasp. Adjust the strap by selecting the appropriate hole for a comfortable and secure fit on your wrist.
Operating Instructions
Using the Stopwatch Function
Your SKMEI 9318 watch is equipped with a stopwatch function for measuring elapsed time.
- Start: Press pusher A (top right button) to start the stopwatch. The stopwatch second hand and minute sub-dial will begin to move.
- Stop: Press pusher A again to stop the stopwatch. The elapsed time will be displayed on the sub-dials.
- Reset: After stopping the stopwatch, press pusher B (bottom right button) to reset all stopwatch hands back to their zero positions.
Understanding the 24-Hour Sub-dial
The 24-hour sub-dial operates in conjunction with the main hour hand, indicating whether the main time display is AM or PM. It cannot be set independently and automatically synchronizes with the 12-hour time setting.
Maintenance and Care
- Water Resistance (30 Meters / 3 ATM): This watch is designed to withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering. Avoid pressing buttons or operating the crown when the watch is wet.
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Battery Replacement: The watch is powered by a quartz movement and requires a battery. When the watch stops or runs erratically, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, as this can affect its accuracy and lifespan.
- Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, which can interfere with the quartz movement.
