3. Setup and First Use

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the oral irrigator. The device is equipped with a USB charging port for convenience.

  1. Locate the USB charging port on the device, usually covered by a protective cap.
  2. Open the protective cap and insert the small end of the provided USB charging cable into the port.
  3. Connect the larger end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., phone charger, power bank, laptop USB port).
  4. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Allow the device to charge completely.
  5. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the protective cap over the charging port.

3.2 Attaching a Nozzle

  1. Select the desired nozzle for your cleaning needs.
  2. Insert the nozzle into the opening at the top of the main unit until it clicks into place. Ensure it is firmly seated.
  3. To remove a nozzle, press the nozzle release button (if present, typically on the back or side of the unit near the nozzle) and pull the nozzle straight out.

3.3 Filling the Water Reservoir

The FlossyFresh irrigator features a large, detachable water reservoir for easy filling and cleaning.

  1. Twist the water reservoir counter-clockwise to detach it from the main unit.
  2. Fill the reservoir with lukewarm water. You may also add a small amount of mouthwash if desired, as recommended by your dentist. Do not use abrasive or corrosive liquids.
  3. Reattach the reservoir by aligning it with the main unit and twisting clockwise until secure.

  1. Lean over a sink and place the nozzle tip into your mouth.
  2. Close your lips slightly around the nozzle to prevent splashing, but allow water to flow into the sink.
  3. Aim the water jet at the gumline at a 90-degree angle.
  4. Start with your back teeth and work your way around, pausing briefly between teeth.
  5. Direct the jet along the gumline and between teeth.
  6. Continue until you have cleaned all areas of your mouth.
  7. Turn off the device before removing the nozzle from your mouth.
