3. Installation Guide

Follow these steps for proper installation of your motorized blinds. You can choose between inside mount or outside mount options based on your window frame.

3.1 Measuring Your Window

Accurate measurements are crucial for a proper fit. Always measure the actual width of the window, not the curtain size.

  • Inside Mount: Measure the minimum width (W1, W2, W3) and minimum height (H1, H2, H3) of the inside frame. Deduct 1/4 inch from the width for the order size. A minimum window depth of 2 inches is required.
  • Outside Mount: Measure the width of the ideal area to be covered (W) and add at least 2 inches on each side for maximum light blockage. Measure the height of the ideal area to be covered (H). No need to measure window depth.

3.2 Mounting the Brackets

  1. Mark the desired positions for the mounting brackets on your window frame or wall. Ensure they are level and spaced appropriately for the blind's width.
  2. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
  3. Insert wall anchors if drilling into drywall.
  4. Secure the mounting brackets using the provided screws.

3.3 Attaching the Blind Unit

  1. Carefully align the motorized blind unit with the installed brackets.
  2. Snap or slide the blind unit into place until it is securely fastened.
  3. Attach the valance cover to the front of the headrail for a finished look.

3.4 Solar Panel Installation

The solar panel can be attached to the window glass using adhesive strips or suction cups (if provided) to ensure it receives maximum sunlight for charging.

  • Inconsistent movement: Check for any obstructions in the blind's path. Ensure the mounting brackets are securely installed and the blind is level.
