Setup and Installation

1. Measuring Your Window

Accurate measurements are crucial for proper fit and function. Determine whether you will use an Inside Mount or Outside Mount installation.

Inside Mount

  • Width: Measure the minimum of the inside frame widths (W1, W2, W3). Make a 1/4" deduction for the blind width. Round down to the nearest 1/8".
  • Height: Measure the minimum of the inside frame heights (H1, H2, H3).
  • Important: Minimum 2 1/2" of window frame depth required.

Outside Mount

  • Width: Measure the width of the ideal area to be covered (W). Add at least 2" on each side for maximum light blockage (total +4").
  • Height: Measure the height of the ideal area to be covered (H).
  • Important: Minimum clearance of 2" of flat surface above the window frame is required.

Note: The fabric width will always be at least 1 inch narrower than the product width ordered.

2. Mounting the Brackets

Use the provided screws and anchors to securely attach the mounting brackets to your window frame or wall, based on your chosen mount type. Ensure the brackets are level and spaced correctly to support the blind unit.

3. Attaching the Blind Unit

Carefully place the motorized roller blind unit onto the installed brackets. Ensure it clicks securely into place. Attach the valance cover if included.

4. Connecting the Solar Panel

The complimentary solar panel helps maintain the blind's battery charge. Attach the solar panel to the window glass or frame where it receives maximum sunlight. Connect the solar panel cable to the charging port on the blind unit. This extends the motor's lifespan and reduces the need for frequent manual recharging.

2. Smart Control (Optional)

To upgrade to smart control features, an optional hub is required. This hub enables control via a smartphone app or voice commands through smart devices (e.g., Alexa, Google Assistant).

  • App Control: Use the dedicated smartphone app to schedule blind movements or control them remotely.
  • Voice Control: Integrate with compatible smart home systems to operate your blinds using voice commands.

3. Setting Upper and Lower Limits

The blinds can be adjusted to stop at any height between 0" and 72". Refer to the detailed installation instructions for programming the upper and lower limits using your remote control.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

The thermal fabric is designed for easy maintenance. For general cleaning, spot clean only with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the fabric or silver coating.

2. Battery Charging

The blinds are equipped with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. The included solar panel provides continuous charging, minimizing the need for manual intervention. If the solar panel is not sufficient or during prolonged periods of low sunlight, the battery can also be charged via a power bank or a standard wall socket using the provided cable.
