Setup and Assembly

1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the 4.0 Ah Lithium-Ion batteries using the supplied GAL 1840 charger. Refer to the separate charger instruction manual for detailed charging procedures.

  • Connect the charger to a suitable power outlet (110V or 220V).
  • Insert the battery pack into the charger. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
  • Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

2. Attaching the Auxiliary Handle

  1. Loosen the auxiliary handle by rotating it counter-clockwise.
  2. Slide the handle over the chuck and onto the tool body.
  3. Adjust the handle to a comfortable and secure position.
  4. Tighten the handle by rotating it clockwise until it is firmly secured.

3. Installing the Depth Stop

The depth stop allows for precise drilling depth control.

  1. Insert the depth stop into the hole on the auxiliary handle.
  2. Adjust the depth stop to the desired drilling depth.
  3. Ensure it is securely positioned before operation.

4. Inserting/Changing Drill Bits

The intelligent chuck supports both SDS-plus and cylindrical/hexagonal shank drill bits.
