5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AiJoy Surge Protector Power Strip, follow these simple maintenance tips:

  • Keep the power strip clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the power strip to moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Do not attempt to open or modify the device, as this will void the warranty and could pose a safety risk.
  • Regularly check the power cord for any signs of damage, such as fraying or cuts. If damaged, discontinue use immediately.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AiJoy Surge Protector Power Strip, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power to Devices:
    • Ensure the power strip's main plug is securely inserted into a functioning wall outlet.
    • Check if the power strip's on/off switch is in the "On" position.
    • If the power strip has tripped due to overload, unplug some devices and press the reset button (if available, or cycle the main power switch).
  • Devices Not Charging via USB:
    • Verify that the USB cables are properly connected to both the power strip and your device.
    • Ensure your device is compatible with the USB charging specifications (5V/2.4A for USB-A, 5V/3A for USB-C).
    • Try a different USB port or cable to rule out a faulty connection.
  • Protected Indicator Light Off:
    • If the green "Protected" light is off, it may indicate that the surge protection components have been compromised due to a significant power surge. The power strip may still function as a basic extension cord, but surge protection is no longer active. It is recommended to replace the unit.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact AiJoy customer support.
