5.4 Spectrum Modes

Choose from three different spectrum modes optimized for various plant growth stages:

  • Mode A (Nursery/Seed Starting): Ideal for germination and early growth of low-light plants like succulents, cacti, rubber plants, and ivy. (3350K)
  • Mode B (Flowering): Promotes flowering and fruiting in plants such as cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, orchids, and chrysanthemums. (Purple light)
  • Mode C (Full Spectrum): Provides a balanced spectrum similar to natural sunlight, suitable for sun-loving plants like tomatoes, peppers, and kale, supporting overall growth. (2800K)

6. Plant Care Guidelines

Optimal light distance and PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) vary by plant growth stage:

Growth StageRequired PPFD (µmol/m²s)Light Distance (inches)Example Plants
Germination100-2004-6Low-light plants, seedlings, succulents, cacti, pothos
Growth200-4004-12Various plants that require leaf growth
Flowering250-6006-12Plants needing high light: vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowering plants

The robust aluminum structure of the DOMMIA grow lights ensures excellent heat dissipation, preventing heat buildup and extending the lifespan of the LED chips. This allows for stable and efficient lighting even in humid environments.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Ensure the lights are off and cool. Gently wipe the light strips with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the LEDs.
  • Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure.
  • Replacement Parts: Each part of this growing light system is replaceable, allowing for longer product lifespan. Contact DOMMIA support for replacement components.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Lights not turning on:
    • Check if the power plug is securely connected to the outlet.
    • Ensure all light strips are properly connected to the smart controller.
    • Verify that the main power button on the controller is pressed.
  • One or more strips not lighting up:
    • Check the individual ON/OFF switch for that specific strip on the controller.
    • Ensure the connection for that strip to the controller is secure.
  • Timer not working:
    • Ensure a timer setting (6H, 10H, 14H, or 18H) is selected on the controller.
