4. Setup and Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure all components are present and undamaged. Refer to the "Included Components" section for a list of items.
4.1 Site Selection
- Choose a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location.
- Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, and excessive humidity.
- Ensure sufficient clearance around the inverter for proper airflow (at least 20 cm on all sides).
- Mount the inverter vertically on a non-flammable surface.
4.2 Wiring Connections
IMPORTANT: Always disconnect all power sources before making any electrical connections.
- Battery Connection:
Connect the supplied Battery Connecting Leads to the inverter's 24V DC battery terminals and to your 24V battery bank. Ensure correct polarity: positive (+) to positive (+), and negative (-) to negative (-). Secure connections tightly.
- Solar Panel Connection:
Connect your solar panel array to the inverter's Solar Input Terminals (PV Vmp). Observe correct polarity. Ensure the total open-circuit voltage (Voc) of your solar array does not exceed the inverter's maximum input voltage (110V) and the total power does not exceed 3000W.
- AC Output Connection:
Connect your AC loads (appliances, lighting) to the inverter's AC Output Terminals. Ensure the total load does not exceed the inverter's rated output power (3000W).
- AC Input Connection (Optional, for Grid Charging/Bypass):
If using grid power for charging or bypass, connect the AC grid supply to the inverter's AC Input Terminals. This connection allows the inverter to charge batteries from the grid or pass grid power directly to loads when solar power is insufficient.
- Grounding:
Connect the inverter's grounding terminal to a reliable earth ground using appropriate gauge wire.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Ensure all connections are secure. First, connect the battery bank. Then, connect the solar panels. Finally, press the ON/OFF button on the front panel. The LCD display will illuminate, and the inverter will begin operation.
- To Power Off: First, disconnect the AC loads. Then, disconnect the solar panels. Finally, disconnect the battery bank. Press and hold the ON/OFF button until the inverter shuts down.
5.2 LCD Display and Settings
The large LCD display provides real-time information about the inverter's status. Use the control buttons to navigate through different display screens and adjust settings.
- Monitoring: The display typically shows battery voltage, solar charging current, AC output voltage, load percentage, and operational mode.
- Mode Selection:
- UPS Mode: Provides uninterrupted power supply, switching to battery power instantly during grid outages.
- High Charge: Prioritizes faster battery charging.
- Power Saving: Reduces power consumption when loads are low.
- Refer to the detailed settings menu in the full product manual for advanced configurations.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your EAPRO inverter.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry, soft cloth. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Connections: Annually inspect all electrical connections (battery, solar, AC) for tightness and corrosion. Tighten any loose connections.
- Battery Inspection: If using lead-acid batteries, check electrolyte levels and terminal condition regularly. Keep terminals clean and free of corrosion.
- Environment: Ensure the installation environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.
