5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your steam cleaner.

Cleaning the Unit:

  • Always ensure the unit is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the steam cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank after each use.
  • Clean accessories (brush heads, nozzles) with water and mild soap, then rinse and allow to air dry.

Descaling:

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the water tank and heating element, especially in areas with hard water. This can affect performance.

  • Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
  • Pour the solution into the empty water tank.
  • Allow it to sit for several hours or overnight.
  • Empty the solution and rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water several times.
  • Run a tank of clean water through the unit to flush out any remaining vinegar residue before regular use.

Storage:

  • Ensure the steam cleaner is completely cool and dry before storing.
  • Store the unit and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the power cord neatly coiled to prevent damage.
