Maintenance

  • Daily Cleaning:
    • Drip Tray: The drip tray can accumulate up to 7.0 oz. of overflow. It should be emptied and cleaned regularly. Remove the drip tray, separate the components, wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry.
    • K-Cup Pod Holder: The K-Cup pod holder can be removed for cleaning. Wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry. Ensure the exit needle is clear of any coffee grounds.
  • Descaling: Over time, calcium deposits (scale) can build up in your coffee maker. Descaling is essential to maintain optimal performance. The descaling frequency depends on the mineral content of your water.
    • Use a Keurig descaling solution or a vinegar solution (consult the full user manual for specific instructions and ratios).
    • Perform several cleansing brews with plain water after descaling to ensure all solution is flushed from the system.

Troubleshooting

  • Coffee Not Brewing:
    • Ensure the water reservoir is filled and properly seated.
    • Check that the K-Cup pod is correctly inserted and the handle is fully lowered.
    • Verify the brewer is powered on and the brew size button is selected.
  • Weak Coffee:
    • Try using a smaller brew size (e.g., 6 oz.) for a stronger concentration.
    • Consider using a bolder roast K-Cup pod.
  • Water Leaking:
    • Ensure the water reservoir is securely in place and not overfilled.
    • Check the drip tray for proper seating.
  • Machine Not Turning On:
    • Verify the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet.
    • Check if the power outlet is functional by plugging in another appliance.
