Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure safe and efficient use of your new heat press.

Safety Instructions

  • Always connect the machine to a grounded power outlet with the correct voltage (110V).
  • Do not operate the machine with wet hands or in damp environments.
  • The heating elements become extremely hot during operation. Avoid direct contact with the heating surface. Always use heat-resistant gloves when handling hot items or attachments.
  • Ensure proper ventilation in your workspace to dissipate heat and any fumes from sublimation.
  • Do not leave the machine unattended while it is powered on or operating.
  • Unplug the machine from the power source when not in use or before cleaning and maintenance.
  • Keep children and pets away from the machine during operation.
  • Do not heat the mug attachments without a cup for extended periods, as this may cause deformation of the heating pad.

  • Handle: Used to open and close the pressing mechanism.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the heat press machine on a stable, heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated area.
  3. Attach Heating Element: The machine comes with a 20-30oz attachment pre-installed. If you need to use the 1.5oz or 3oz shot glass attachments, loosen the thumb screws, carefully remove the current attachment, and install the desired one. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into the machine's power inlet and then into a standard 110V grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

A. Setting Temperature and Time

  1. Turn on the machine using the Power Switch. The LCD control panel will light up.
  2. Press the SET button once to set the target temperature (SV). Use the Up and Down arrows to adjust the value. The temperature range is 0-482°F (0-250°C).
  3. Press the SET button again to set the target time. Use the Up and Down arrows to adjust the value. The time range is 0-999 seconds.
  4. Press SET one more time to confirm the settings and exit the setting mode. The machine will begin heating to the set temperature.
  5. The counter on the display tracks the number of uses. You can press the RESET button to clear the counter.

B. Preparing for Sublimation

  • Ensure your sublimation design is printed on sublimation paper using sublimation ink.
  • Clean the surface of your tumbler or mug thoroughly.
  • Securely tape the printed sublimation design onto the tumbler/mug using heat-resistant tape. Ensure the design is flat and tightly wrapped around the surface.

C. Sublimation Process

  1. Once the machine reaches the set temperature, carefully place the prepared tumbler/mug into the heating attachment.
  2. Lower the handle to close the press. Adjust the pressure using the double pressure knob until it is firm but not overly tight. The machine is designed with a double pressure knob for more even pressure distribution.
  3. The timer will automatically start counting down.
  4. When the timer reaches zero, carefully lift the handle to open the press.
  5. Using heat-resistant gloves, remove the hot tumbler/mug from the machine.
  6. Allow the item to cool completely before removing the sublimation paper.

This heat press machine is suitable for heat transfer onto a wide range of drinkware, including skinny tumblers, ceramic mugs, glass cups, metal cups, glass beer mugs, aluminum bottles, and shot glasses. It is compatible with other sizes of BetterSub mug heat press attachments, such as 1.5oz, 3oz, 6oz, 10oz, 11oz, 12oz, 15oz, 17oz, and 30oz, which can be purchased separately.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, allow the machine to cool down completely. Wipe down the exterior and heating elements with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the machine in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Attachment Care: The silicone pads and Teflon coating on the attachments are heat-resistant and durable. Avoid scratching or puncturing them.
  • Thumb Screw: The updated thumb screw design makes it easy to replace the tumbler heater. Ensure screws are tightened securely after changing attachments.
