3. Initial Setup Steps

  1. Install Antennas: Screw the two antennas into the ANT-A and ANT-B ports on the rear of the receiver. Ensure they are securely fastened and positioned upright for optimal signal reception.
  2. Connect Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 12-15V 500mA power input on the receiver and plug it into a power outlet.
  3. Insert Batteries into Microphones: Unscrew the bottom part of each handheld microphone. Insert two AA batteries (not included) into each microphone, observing the correct polarity. Screw the bottom part back on.
  4. Connect to Audio System:
    • For mixed output: Use the supplied 6.35mm (1/4”) TRS audio cable to connect the MIX OUT port on the receiver to the input of your amplifier, mixer, or sound system.
    • For individual channel output: Use XLR cables (not included) to connect the BAL-A, BAL-B, BAL-C, and BAL-D XLR outputs on the receiver to individual input channels on your mixer for separate control of each microphone.

Operating Instructions

1. Volume Control

  • Each channel (A, B, C, D) on the receiver has an individual volume control knob. Rotate these knobs to adjust the output volume for each corresponding microphone.
  • Start with the volume knobs at a low setting and gradually increase to avoid sudden loud sounds.

2. Frequency Adjustment

  • The system offers 50 adjustable frequency groups per channel (4x50 total frequencies) in the UHF 510-590MHz band.
  • To change the frequency on a handheld microphone, short press the "Frequency Switch Button" located on the microphone body. The display on the microphone and receiver will update to the new frequency.
  • Adjusting frequencies can help avoid interference when multiple wireless systems are in use or in environments with high RF activity.

3. Microphone Usage

  • Hold the microphone approximately 2-6 inches from your mouth for optimal sound capture.
  • The microphones feature a cardioid pickup pattern, which means they are most sensitive to sound from the front and less sensitive to sound from the sides and rear, helping to reduce feedback.
  • The anti-rolling rings can be placed on the microphone body to prevent it from rolling off flat surfaces.

4. Operating Range

The system provides a stable signal transmission range of up to 300 feet in open space with a clear line of sight. Environmental factors and obstructions can affect this range.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the receiver and microphones. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace microphone batteries when the battery indicator on the microphone display shows low power. Always use fresh AA batteries. Remove batteries if the microphones will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Storage: Store the system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Handling: Handle microphones and receiver with care. Avoid dropping or subjecting them to strong impacts.
