2. Setup and Installation

The MakeFit Filtered Shower Head is designed for tool-free installation and can be connected to any standard G1/2" shower arm in minutes.

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Shower Arm: Ensure your existing shower arm is clean and free from any old Teflon tape or debris. Wrap the included Teflon tape clockwise around the threads of your shower arm.
  2. Install the Adjustable Bracket: Screw the adjustable shower arm bracket onto the shower arm. Hand-tighten firmly.
  3. Connect the Hose: Attach one end of the 59-inch stainless steel hose to the adjustable bracket and the other end to the handheld shower head. Ensure rubber washers are properly seated in both connections to prevent leaks. Hand-tighten both ends.
  4. Place the Shower Head: Insert the handheld shower head into the adjustable bracket.
  5. Test for Leaks: Turn on the water supply and check all connections for any leaks. If leaks occur, tighten the connections slightly or reapply Teflon tape.

3. Operating Instructions

Adjusting Spray Modes:

The MakeFit Filtered Shower Head features 6 distinct spray modes. To switch between modes, simply use the thumb-press switch located on the side of the shower head. Press the switch to cycle through the available patterns:

  • Power Rain: A strong, invigorating full-body spray.
  • Gentle Mist: A fine, soft spray for a relaxing experience.
  • Intense Massage: Concentrated streams for muscle relief.
  • Rain & Massage: A combination of rain and massage for a balanced feel.
  • Mist & Massage: A blend of mist and massage for gentle invigoration.
  • Rain: A classic, steady rain-like flow.

Water Filtration:

The multi-stage filtration system, pre-installed with mineral beads, works to reduce chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, and other impurities from your shower water. This process aims to provide cleaner, softer water for your skin and hair.

4. Maintenance

Cleaning the Nozzles:

The shower head features anti-clog nozzles designed to prevent lime and hard water buildup. To clean, simply rub the silicone nozzles with your finger or a soft cloth to dislodge any mineral deposits.

Filter Replacement:

The mineral beads in the filtration system will need to be replaced periodically, typically every 3-6 months depending on water quality and usage. Replacement filter cartridges are available from MakeFit.

  1. Unscrew the shower head handle from the main head.
  2. Carefully remove the old mineral bead cartridge.
  3. Insert the new mineral bead cartridge, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  4. Screw the shower head handle back onto the main head, ensuring a tight seal.
