3.2 Fuel Mixing

This is a 2-cycle engine and requires a specific gasoline-to-oil mixture. Use unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-cycle engine oil. The recommended mixing ratio is 25:1 (25 parts gasoline to 1 part 2-cycle oil). Use the provided mixing bottle to ensure accurate proportions.

  1. Fill the mixing bottle with the required amount of 2-cycle oil.
  2. Add unleaded gasoline to the mixing bottle up to the designated mark for a 25:1 ratio.
  3. Securely close the bottle and shake well to thoroughly mix the fuel.
  4. Carefully pour the mixed fuel into the hedge trimmer's fuel tank using a funnel to prevent spills.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Blade Care

Regularly inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Clean the blades after each use to remove sap and debris. Lubricate the blades with light machine oil to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.

5.2 Air Filter

Check the air filter periodically and clean or replace it if it's dirty. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance.

5.3 Spark Plug

Inspect the spark plug for wear and carbon buildup. Clean or replace as necessary to ensure reliable starting and engine performance.

5.4 Long-Term Storage

Before storing the hedge trimmer for an extended period, drain all fuel from the tank and run the engine until it stops from lack of fuel. This prevents fuel degradation and carburetor issues. Clean the entire unit thoroughly and store it in a dry, secure location.
