3. Setup Guide
3.1 Step 1: Unboxing and Placement
- Carefully remove the router and all accessories from the packaging.
- Place the router in a central location in your home or office, away from obstructions, large metal objects, and direct sunlight. An elevated position is recommended for optimal signal distribution.
- Orient the four external antennas vertically for best performance.
3.2 Step 2: Connecting the Router
- Connect to Modem: Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to the WAN port (blue) on the back of the router. Connect the other end to the LAN port on your modem or existing internet connection device.
- Connect to Power: Plug the power adapter into the router's power input port and then into a standard electrical outlet. The Power LED on the front of the router should illuminate.
- Connect Devices (Optional): For wired connections, connect your computer or other network devices to any of the yellow Gigabit LAN ports on the router using Ethernet cables.
3.3 Step 3: Initial Configuration (Web Interface)
- Access Router: Open a web browser on a computer connected to the router (either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet). In the address bar, type the default IP address (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and press Enter. Refer to the sticker on the bottom of your router for the exact default IP address and login credentials.
- Login: Enter the default username and password (commonly admin/admin or admin/password). You will be prompted to change these for security.
- Run Setup Wizard: Follow the on-screen setup wizard to configure your internet connection type (e.g., PPPoE, Dynamic IP, Static IP) and set up your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
- Save Settings: Save your configuration settings and reboot the router if prompted.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Connecting Devices
- Wi-Fi Connection: On your wireless device (smartphone, laptop, tablet), search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the SSID you configured during setup (e.g., "MyHomeWiFi_2.4G" or "MyHomeWiFi_5G") and enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Wired Connection: Connect devices such as desktop computers, gaming consoles, or smart TVs to the router's yellow LAN ports using Ethernet cables for a stable and high-speed connection.
4.2 Dual-Band Operation (2.4GHz and 5GHz)

Figure 4.2.1: Dual-Band Wi-Fi Capabilities
Shows the 2.4GHz band (up to 300Mbps) for wider coverage and better penetration, and the 5GHz band (up to 867Mbps) for faster speeds and less interference, ideal for streaming and gaming.
The LV-AC22 router operates on two distinct Wi-Fi bands:
- 2.4GHz Band: Provides wider coverage and better penetration through walls and obstacles. Ideal for general internet use like browsing, email, and connecting older devices. Max speed 300Mbps.
- 5GHz Band: Offers faster speeds and less interference, making it suitable for bandwidth-intensive activities such as online gaming, HD video streaming, and large file transfers. Max speed 867Mbps.
You can connect your devices to either band based on your needs and device compatibility.
4.3 MU-MIMO Technology

Figure 4.3.1: Router Features Overview
This image highlights the router's key specifications including 1200Mbps total speed, 4 antennas, Gigabit ports, and the inclusion of MU-MIMO technology.
The LV-AC22 router incorporates MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology. This allows the router to communicate with multiple devices simultaneously, rather than sequentially. This significantly improves network efficiency, reduces wait times, and enhances throughput for every connected device, especially in environments with many Wi-Fi clients.
4.4 Advanced Settings
You can access the router's web interface (as described in Section 3.3) to configure advanced settings, including:
- Guest Network: Create a separate Wi-Fi network for guests to keep your main network secure.
- Parental Controls: Manage internet access times and block specific websites for connected devices.
- Quality of Service (QoS): Prioritize network traffic for specific applications or devices (e.g., prioritize gaming or video streaming).
- Port Forwarding/Triggering: Configure rules for specific applications or services.
- VPN Server/Client: Set up VPN connections (if supported by firmware).
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your router.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the ADIUM official website for firmware updates. Updating the firmware can improve performance, add new features, and fix security vulnerabilities. Follow the instructions provided with the firmware update carefully.
- Regular Rebooting: Rebooting your router every few weeks can help clear its memory and resolve minor performance issues. Simply unplug the power adapter, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in.
- Cleaning: Keep the router clean and free of dust. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols. Ensure ventilation holes are not blocked.
- Password Security: Regularly change your router's login password and Wi-Fi passwords to prevent unauthorized access.
