4. Setup
Follow these steps to connect your Strex SP270 DVD Player to your television.
4.1 Connecting to a Television
The Strex SP270 offers two primary connection methods: HDMI and RCA.
- HDMI Connection (Recommended for HD Quality):
- Locate the HDMI OUT port on the back of the DVD player.
- Connect one end of the included HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on the DVD player.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an available HDMI IN port on your television. Note the HDMI input number (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2) on your TV.
- RCA Connection (Standard Definition):
- Locate the RCA (Red, White, Yellow) ports on the back of the DVD player.
- Connect the included RCA cable by matching the colors: Yellow to Yellow (Video), White to White (Left Audio), Red to Red (Right Audio).
- Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the corresponding RCA IN ports on your television.

4.2 Power Connection
- Connect the power cord to the AC IN port on the back of the DVD player.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
4.3 Initial Power On
- Turn on your television and select the correct input source (e.g., HDMI 1, AV) that corresponds to where you connected the DVD player.
- Press the Power button on the DVD player or the remote control to turn on the unit.
- The Strex logo or a setup menu should appear on your TV screen.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Disc Playback
- Ensure the DVD player is powered on and connected to your TV.
- Press the Eject button (▲) on the front panel or remote control to open the disc tray.
- Place a DVD or CD disc gently onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
- Press the Eject button again to close the disc tray. The player will automatically begin reading the disc.
- Use the remote control to navigate menus, play, pause, stop, fast forward, and rewind.

5.2 USB Media Playback
The Strex SP270 allows you to play digital media files directly from a USB flash drive.
- Insert your USB flash drive into the USB port on the front of the DVD player.
- The player should automatically detect the USB drive and display a media selection menu (e.g., Photo, Music, Video). If not, press the "USB" button on the remote control or navigate to the USB input.
- Use the arrow keys on the remote to navigate through your files and folders.
- Press the "OK" or "Play" button to select and play a file.
Note: The USB port supports flash drives up to 128GB. Ensure your USB drive is formatted to a compatible file system (e.g., FAT32).
