Setup

1. Battery Installation

To install batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide open the battery cover.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery cover securely.

2. TV Compatibility and Setting Methods

This universal remote is compatible with the following TV brands: Magnavox, Hitachi, RCA, TCL, Westinghouse, Seiki, Sanyo, Panasonic, Insignia, JVC, Samsung, Hisense, Philips, Vizio, Toshiba, Haier, Sharp, Sony, Vestel, and LG Smart TVs. Please note that models without these specific TV brands on the product are not compatible.

There are two simple methods to set up your remote:

Method 1: Brand Setting

1. Turn on your TV.
2. On the remote, press and hold the button corresponding to your TV's brand (e.g., "LG", "Samsung", "Sony", etc.) for 5 seconds.
3. The LED indicator on the remote will flash three (3) times, indicating that the setting is complete.

Avoid setting directly for LG, Samsung, Sony, Philips, Panasonic, and Sharp TVs using this method if possible, as they may have specific code requirements.

Method 2: Code Setting

1. Press the "Mute" and "Power" buttons on the remote together for 3 seconds until the LED light illuminates.
2. Release both buttons.
3. Input your 3-digit TV_CODE from the provided code list (not included in this manual, typically found in a separate code booklet or online).
4. If the code is correct, the LED light will turn off, indicating successful setup.
5. If the code is incorrect, the LED light may remain on or flash differently. Try again with a different code for your TV brand.

Operating Instructions

Once successfully programmed, your universal remote control functions similarly to your original TV remote. Point the remote directly at your TV's infrared receiver for optimal performance.
