4. Setup and Installation

The Seasons SM13R1 is designed for quick and easy installation. Follow these steps for optimal performance:

1. Placement: Position the unit on a firm, level surface near a window and a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of space around the unit for proper air circulation. The integrated wheels allow for easy movement between rooms.
2. Window Venting Kit Installation:
   • Assemble the window slider kit according to your window type (vertical sliding or casement-style).
   • Connect the exhaust hose to the unit's exhaust port and then to the window slider kit. Ensure a secure, airtight connection to prevent air leakage.
   • Extend the window kit to fit your window opening and secure it.
3. Power Connection: Plug the unit into a standard 115 Volt, 60 Hz grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The Seasons SM13R1 can be operated using the soft-touch electronic control panel on the unit or the included remote control. The unit is designed for quiet operation, making it suitable for various living spaces.

Control Panel Functions:

• Power Button (⑂): Press to turn the unit ON or OFF. When powered on, the top vent will automatically open.
• Mode Button: Cycle through available modes: Cool, Fan, and Heat.
• Temperature Adjustment (- / +): Adjust the desired temperature. The display shows the set temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
• Fan Speed Button: Select desired fan speed (e.g., Low, Medium, High). The unit features 3 fan speeds.
• Swing Button: Activates or deactivates the automatic swing function of the air vents for better air distribution.
• Timer Button: Set a timer for the unit to automatically turn ON or OFF.
• Sleep Button: Activates Sleep Mode, which adjusts settings for comfortable nighttime operation and energy saving.

When the unit is turned on, the top vent will open to allow air circulation. When turned off, the vent will close, providing a clean, integrated look.

Air Filter Cleaning:

The unit is equipped with a washable air filter. It is recommended to clean the filter every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
2. Locate the air filter (typically at the back or side of the unit).
3. Remove the filter carefully.
4. Wash the filter under running water (warm, soapy water if heavily soiled).
5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.

Bucket-less Evaporation System:

This unit features a bucket-less evaporation system, which means most of the condensed water is evaporated and expelled through the exhaust hose.
