Follow these steps to assemble and install your bed rail. It is recommended to perform this on a flat surface before placing it on the bed.

  1. Identify Components: Separate the top and bottom connection tubes and lifting rods. Note that the middle tube of the top rod is shorter, and the middle tube of the bottom rod is longer. Ensure the longer intermediate tube is used in the bottom rod section.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the top and bottom connection tubes to form the rectangular frame.
  3. Attach Fence Net Cover: Slide the fence net cover onto the assembled frame. Ensure the zipper is accessible for later use.
  4. Insert Lifting Rods: Install the lifting rods into the designated slots on the frame.
  5. Secure Bases: Attach the bases to the bottom of the lifting rods.
  6. Lock Components: Pull the fence net cover zipper and lock the lifting rod into the base.
  7. Position on Bed: Place the assembled bed rail on your bed, ensuring the bases are positioned securely between the mattress and the bed frame. The bottom bar should firmly press the mattress to eliminate gaps.

6. Maintenance

To maintain the cleanliness and longevity of your G TALECO GEAR Bed Rail, follow these simple care instructions:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the bed rail with a damp cloth. Use mild soap if necessary, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue.
  • Drying: Allow the bed rail to air dry completely before re-use or storage.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the fabric, mesh, and frame for any signs of wear, tears, or damage. Ensure all connection points remain secure.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your bed rail, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Rail not stable/wobbling: Ensure the bases are correctly positioned under the mattress and that the bottom bar is pressing firmly against the mattress. Verify all connection tubes are fully inserted and secured.
  • Difficulty with assembly (rods): Remember that the railings are designed with shorter tubes for the top rod's middle section and longer tubes for the bottom rod's middle section. Ensure the longer intermediate tube is placed in the bottom tube section during installation.
  • Rail not locking/unlocking smoothly: Check for any obstructions around the safety lock mechanism. Ensure the buttons are pressed simultaneously and fully. Clean any debris from the mechanism if necessary.
  • Gap between rail and mattress: Re-adjust the bed rail to ensure the bottom bar is tightly pressed against the mattress. If the mattress is too thin or the bed frame design prevents a snug fit, consider using additional padding under the mattress to raise it slightly.
