  10. Relocate Extender: Once configured, unplug the extender and move it to an optimal location.

Operating Modes

The Paleoer Superboost WiFi Extender supports five distinct working modes to cater to various networking requirements:

  • Repeater Mode: Extends the range of an existing wireless network, eliminating dead zones. This is the most common use case for a Wi-Fi extender.
  • AP (Access Point) Mode: Converts a wired network connection into a wireless one, creating a new Wi-Fi access point. Useful for adding Wi-Fi capability to a wired-only network.
  • Bridge Mode: Connects two separate network segments, often used to connect wired devices to a wireless network.
  • Client Mode: Allows wired devices (like a smart TV or gaming console) to connect to a wireless network via the extender's Ethernet port.
  • Router Mode: Functions as a primary router, providing internet access to connected devices. This mode is typically used when you don't have an existing router.

Maintenance

  • Placement: Place the extender in an open area, away from obstructions like large metal objects, concrete walls, and other electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Power Cycle: If you experience intermittent connectivity issues, try power cycling the extender by unplugging it for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
