Operating Instructions

Setting Channels and Sub-codes

Your walkie-talkies operate on 16 main channels and feature 121 interference elimination codes (CTCSS/DCS) to ensure private communication. For two or more walkie-talkies to communicate, they must be set to the same channel and sub-code.

  1. Turn on both walkie-talkies.
  2. Press the MENU button once. The channel number on the LCD display will start flashing.
  3. Use the Up or Down buttons to select your desired main channel (1-16).
  4. Press the MENU button again. The sub-code number will start flashing.
  5. Use the Up or Down buttons to select your desired sub-code (0-121). Setting to 0 disables the sub-code.
  6. Press the MENU button a third time or wait a few seconds for the settings to be saved automatically.
  7. Repeat these steps for all walkie-talkies you wish to communicate with, ensuring they are on the exact same channel and sub-code.
