3. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup and assembly of your VIVOHOME Stand Mixer.
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Remove any protective films or packaging materials.
- Clean: Before first use, wash the mixing bowl, dough hook, mixing beater, wire whip, and splash guard in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The main motor unit should be wiped with a damp cloth.
- Position the Mixer: Place the mixer on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure the non-slip feet are securely attached to prevent movement during operation.
- Attach the Bowl: Place the stainless steel mixing bowl onto the base of the mixer. Turn the bowl clockwise until it locks securely into position.
- Lift the Head: Press the tilt lock lever (located on the side of the mixer) and lift the motor head until it clicks into the upright position.
- Install Attachment: Select the desired attachment (dough hook, mixing beater, or wire whip). Insert the attachment into the shaft and turn it counter-clockwise until it locks into place.
- Lower the Head: Press the tilt lock lever again and gently lower the motor head until it locks into the operating position.
- Attach Splash Guard: If desired, attach the splash guard by aligning it with the mixer head and bowl, then securing it.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 Cleaning the Mixer
- Motor Unit: Wipe the exterior of the motor unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
- Mixing Bowl: The stainless steel mixing bowl is dishwasher safe. For manual cleaning, wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Attachments (Dough Hook, Mixing Beater, Wire Whip): These attachments are NOT dishwasher safe. Hand wash them immediately after use with warm, soapy water and dry completely to prevent corrosion.
- Splash Guard: Hand wash with warm, soapy water.
