3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your ERICAT Intelligent Automatic Watering Device:
- Prepare the Water Source: Place your water reservoir (e.g., a bucket or tank) on the ground. It is generally recommended that the water source be placed lower than the device, and the drip arrows should be higher than the water level in the reservoir to ensure proper siphoning and water flow.
- Connect the Water Pipe: Cut the provided water pipe to the desired lengths to reach your plants from the device. Connect one end of the main pipe to the water inlet on the device.
- Install Filters: Insert the filters into the ends of the pipes that will be submerged in the water source to prevent debris from entering the system.
- Distribute Drip Arrows: Use the Tee connectors to branch off the main water pipe to individual plants. Attach a drip arrow to the end of each branch and insert it into the soil of your potted plants. Ensure the drip arrows are securely placed in the soil near the plant roots.
- Power Connection: Connect the USB cable to the device and then to the provided adapter. Plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The device can also be powered by other 5V USB sources or batteries (not included) for flexible placement.
- Initial Test: After connecting everything, perform a manual test to check for any leaks and ensure water flows correctly to all drip arrows.

4.1. Setting Watering Time and Interval
- Power On: Press the 'ON' button to turn on the device. The LCD screen will illuminate.
- Access Settings: Press the 'SET' button to enter programming mode. You will typically see options to set watering duration and interval.
- Set Watering Duration: Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' arrow buttons to adjust the watering time (duration) for each cycle. This can usually be set from 0 to 999 seconds. Press 'SET' again to confirm and move to the next setting.
- Set Interval Time: Use the 'UP' and 'DOWN' arrow buttons to adjust the interval between watering cycles. This can usually be set from 0 to 999 hours. Press 'SET' again to confirm.
