1. Introduction

The ASUS ProArt B760-CREATOR WiFi motherboard is engineered to enhance creativity and maximize the computing power of the latest 12th and 13th Generation Intel® Core™ processors. This ATX motherboard features robust hardware, efficient cooling solutions, and ultra-fast connectivity options, including DDR5 memory support, PCIe 5.0, multiple M.2 slots, 2.5Gb and 1Gb onboard Ethernet, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C front panel header, and Thunderbolt™ (USB4®) header. This manual provides essential information for proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your motherboard.

3. Setup and Installation

3.3. Motherboard Installation Steps

  1. Install the CPU: Open the LGA 1700 socket lever, align the CPU's golden triangle with the socket's triangle, gently place the CPU, and close the lever.
  2. Install the CPU Cooler: Follow the cooler manufacturer's instructions to install it onto the CPU and motherboard.
  3. Install RAM Modules: Open the DIMM slot clips, align the RAM module's notch with the slot's key, and press firmly until the clips snap into place. For dual-channel performance, refer to your user guide for recommended slot configurations.
  4. Install M.2 SSDs: Locate the M.2 slots and remove any pre-installed heatsinks. Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot at an angle, then push it down and secure it with the provided screw or rubber standoff. Reattach the heatsink if applicable.
  5. Install Graphics Card: Insert your PCIe 5.0 graphics card into the primary PCIe x16 slot until it clicks into place. Secure it with a screw to the PC case.
  6. Mount Motherboard in Case: Align the motherboard with the standoffs in your PC case and secure it with screws.
  7. Connect Power Supply: Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector and the 8-pin (or 4+4 pin) CPU power connector from your PSU to the motherboard. Connect power to your graphics card if required.
  8. Connect Front Panel Headers: Use the Q-Connector (if available) to easily connect the power switch, reset switch, HDD LED, and power LED cables from your case to the motherboard.
  9. Connect SATA Devices: Connect SATA data cables from your storage drives to the SATA ports on the motherboard.
  10. Connect Wi-Fi Antenna: Screw the included Wi-Fi antenna onto the connectors on the rear I/O panel.

After assembly, connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Power on your system. Press the DEL key during startup to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup. Configure boot order, enable XMP/EXPO for RAM, and set up other system preferences as needed. Save changes and exit to proceed with operating system installation.
