1. Introduction

The HOSAFE.COM 4G LTE Cellular Security Camera is a completely wire-free surveillance solution designed for locations without traditional internet or power access. Powered by a solar panel and rechargeable battery, it connects to the internet via its own SIM card, offering flexible installation options. This camera features 2K HD resolution, 270° pan, 90° tilt, 4x digital zoom, color night vision, human motion detection with phone notifications, two-way audio, and local/cloud storage capabilities. Its IP66 waterproof rating ensures reliable operation in various weather conditions.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper setup and installation of your HOSAFE.COM 4G LTE Cellular Security Camera.

3.1. SIM Card and SD Card Installation

The camera comes with a pre-inserted 64GB Micro SD Card and a SIM card for initial testing. Ensure the SIM card is properly seated in its slot. The SIM card slot is typically located under a rubber stopper on the camera body. Gently push the SIM card until it clicks into place.

3.2. App Installation and Device Pairing

1. Download the UBox app from your device's app store (Appstore / Google Play Store).
2. Allow all necessary permissions when opening the app for the first time.
3. Register an account and log in.
4. Power on the camera. The blue indicator LED will light up after approximately 1 minute.
5. In the UBox app, tap "Add a Device" and then "Setup 4G Device".
6. Scan the QR code located on the camera body using the UBox app to pair the device.
7. Once successfully added, you can name your device and begin live viewing.

3.3. Physical Installation

The camera and solar panel are designed for outdoor installation without the need for power or Wi-Fi cables. Choose a location that receives ample sunlight for the solar panel and provides the desired surveillance coverage.

Use the provided brackets and screw kit to securely mount the camera and solar panel. Ensure the solar panel is positioned to maximize sun exposure throughout the day. Connect the solar panel's USB cable to the camera's charging port, ensuring the rubber stopper is properly re-inserted to maintain waterproof integrity.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) Control

The camera supports 270° pan, 90° tilt, and 4x digital zoom, allowing you to remotely adjust the viewing angle and zoom in on specific areas through the UBox app. This ensures comprehensive coverage of your surveillance area.

4.2. Motion Detection and Notifications

Equipped with a sensitive PIR sensor, the camera can detect moving people, vehicles, and animals. Upon detection, the camera will trigger an alarm, activate spotlights, and send instant alerts to your mobile phone via the UBox app, keeping you informed of any activity.

4.3. Two-Way Audio

The built-in speaker and microphone enable two-way communication. You can listen to audio from the camera's location and speak through the camera using your mobile phone, allowing for interaction with visitors or deterring unwanted guests.

4.4. Night Vision

The camera provides 2K HD color night vision, utilizing 4pcs spotlights to capture clear, full-color images even in low-light conditions. An infrared mode is also available for discreet monitoring.

4.5. Storage and Playback

Events can be saved to the included 64GB micro SD card or to the cloud (30-day free trial available). The UBox app allows for remote playback of recorded events, ensuring you can review footage even if the camera is physically damaged.

5. Maintenance

• Solar Panel: Keep the solar panel clean and free from obstructions (e.g., dirt, leaves) to ensure optimal sunlight absorption and efficient battery charging.
• Battery: For the first usage, fully charge the camera's battery. Regular solar charging will maintain battery levels under normal conditions.
• Cleaning: Periodically wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and grime. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
• Environmental Resilience: The camera is IP66 waterproof and operates well within -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C). While robust, avoid exposing it to extreme conditions beyond its specified operating range.

6. Troubleshooting

• Camera not powering on: Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position. Check the battery level and charge if necessary.
• Blue indicator light not solid: This indicates a potential issue with SIM card insertion or network connection. Re-insert the SIM card, ensure it's pushed all the way in, and verify cellular signal strength in the camera's location.
• No network connection: Check if the SIM card has an active data plan. Verify cellular coverage in the installation area.
• Motion detection not working or too sensitive: Adjust the PIR sensor sensitivity settings within the UBox app. Ensure there are no constant movements (e.g., tree branches in strong wind) in the detection zone that might trigger false alarms.
• Poor video quality: Ensure the camera lens is clean. Check the cellular signal strength, as weak signals can affect streaming quality.
• Battery draining quickly: Reduce the frequency of motion detection events or live view sessions. Ensure the solar panel receives adequate direct sunlight daily.
• Two-way audio issues: Check microphone and speaker settings in the UBox app. Ensure there is no physical obstruction to the microphone or speaker on the camera.
