Setup and Installation

The Generic 18 Inch Electric Fireplace Insert is designed for easy setup. It can be used freestanding or installed into a compatible TV stand or fireplace cabinet.

1. Unpacking

• Carefully remove all contents from the packaging.
• Inspect the unit for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is observed, do not operate the unit and contact customer support.
• Ensure all components listed in the "Package Contents" section are present.

2. Placement

• Choose a firm, level location for the fireplace insert.
• Ensure there is adequate clearance from combustible materials (at least 3 feet from the front, sides, and rear).
• Do not place the unit directly below a permanent electrical outlet.
• Ensure the chosen location has access to a standard 120V 60Hz grounded electrical outlet.

4. Power Connection

Operating Instructions

Your electric fireplace insert can be operated using the manual controls on the unit or the included remote control.

1. Powering On/Off

• Locate the main power switch on the top right of the unit (refer to Figure 3).
• Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the unit.
• Flip the switch to the 'OFF' position to power off the unit.

2. Flame Effect

• The realistic LED flame effect can be operated independently of the heating function.
• Use the dedicated flame button on the remote control or the unit's control panel to turn the flame effect on or off.
• The LED light source has a lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours.

3. Heating Function

• The heater provides supplemental heat up to 400 sq. ft. with a heat output of 5000 BTUs (1400W).
• Use the temperature control buttons on the remote or unit to adjust the heat setting. There are 11 temperature settings available, ranging from 64°F to 82°F.
• The heater will automatically turn off if the set temperature is reached or if the overheat protection is activated.
• The flame effect can be used without the heating function, allowing for ambient light during warmer seasons.

4. Remote Control

The included remote control allows for convenient operation of all functions from a distance. Refer to the remote control diagram (if available) for specific button functions.

• Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
• Flame Button: Activates or deactivates the flame effect.
• Temperature Up/Down: Adjusts the desired heat setting.
