Setup and Installation

The Havells Carlo 5 Litre Instant Water Heater is designed for wall mounting. Follow these steps for proper installation:

1. Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location, ensuring it is sturdy enough to support the weight of the water heater when full. The location should be close to water inlet/outlet points and a power source.
2. Mounting Bracket: Use the provided wall mounting kit. Mark the drilling points on the wall using the bracket as a template. Drill holes and insert wall plugs. Secure the mounting bracket firmly to the wall.
3. Attach Water Heater: Carefully lift the water heater and align its rear mounting slots with the bracket. Slide the heater down until it is securely seated on the bracket.
4. Water Connections: Connect the cold water inlet (blue marked) to the main water supply using one of the flexible pipes. Connect the hot water outlet (red marked) to the desired hot water tap using the other flexible pipe. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
5. Safety Valve Installation: Install the multifunction safety valve on the cold water inlet pipe as per local regulations. This valve is crucial for pressure relief.
6. Electrical Connection: Connect the fire retardant power cord to a suitable earthed electrical outlet. Ensure the power supply matches the appliance's requirements (230 Volts, 3000 Watts).
7. Fill Tank: Before switching on, open the hot water tap to allow the tank to fill completely and air to escape. Once water flows steadily from the hot water tap, close the tap.

Operating Instructions

Once installed and filled with water, your Havells Carlo Instant Water Heater is ready for use:

1. Power On: Switch on the electrical supply to the water heater.
2. LED Indicator: The water heater features a color-changing LED indicator. This indicator will change color to show the heating status. Typically, one color indicates heating in progress, and another indicates that the desired temperature has been reached.
3. Water Temperature: The unit is equipped with a high-precision pre-calibrated thermostat to maintain optimal water temperature. Hot water will be available almost instantly.
4. Power Off: After use, it is recommended to switch off the electrical supply to the water heater.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the water heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
