4. Setup and Assembly
Assembly requires at least two people. Clear a large, flat area for assembly. Tools required (not included): wrench, wire cutters, measuring tape.
- Step 1: Unpack and Identify Components
Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out and compare them against the package contents list to ensure everything is present. - Step 2: Assemble the Base Frame
Connect the longest galvanized steel tubes to form the rectangular base of the coop. Secure connections using the provided bolts and nuts. - Step 3: Erect the Vertical Supports
Attach the vertical steel tubes to the base frame. Ensure they are upright and stable before proceeding. - Step 4: Install the Roof Frame
Assemble the angled roof frame components and attach them to the top of the vertical supports. This will form the A-frame structure. - Step 5: Attach Wire Mesh
Unroll the hexagonal wire mesh and attach it to the frame using wire ties or clips, starting from the bottom and working your way up. Ensure the mesh is taut and securely fastened to prevent gaps.

5. Operating Instructions
- Accessing the Coop: Use the main door for entry and exit. Always ensure the door is securely locked when animals are inside to prevent escape and protect from predators.
- Roof Access: The coop features a sliding roof panel for convenient access to the interior for cleaning or tending to animals. Slide the panel open as needed and ensure it is closed and secured afterward.
- Animal Placement: Introduce animals to the coop gradually. Ensure they have access to food, water, and adequate shelter within the enclosure.
- Weather Protection: The polyethylene roof provides protection from rain and UV rays. In extreme weather conditions, additional measures may be necessary to ensure animal safety and comfort.
6. Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Clean the coop regularly to maintain hygiene for your animals. Remove droppings, old bedding, and food debris. Use animal-safe cleaning solutions.
- Frame Inspection: Periodically check the galvanized steel frame for any signs of rust, bending, or damage. Tighten any loose bolts or connections.
- Mesh Inspection: Inspect the wire mesh for any tears, holes, or loose sections that could allow animals to escape or predators to enter. Repair or reinforce as needed.
- Roof Cover Care: Check the polyethylene roof cover for tears or damage. Clean off any accumulated debris (leaves, snow) to prevent sagging or damage. Ensure it remains securely fastened.
- Door and Lock: Lubricate the door hinges and lock mechanism periodically to ensure smooth operation and security.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Coop feels unstable or wobbly. | Loose connections; uneven ground. | Tighten all bolts and nuts. Relocate the coop to a level surface or use shims to stabilize. |
| Water pooling on the roof. | Roof cover not taut; debris accumulation. | Re-tension the roof cover. Clear any leaves or debris from the roof surface. |
| Door is difficult to open/close or lock. | Hinges or lock mechanism are stiff or misaligned. | Lubricate hinges and lock. Check for any obstructions or bent components and adjust as necessary. |
| Wire mesh has gaps or tears. | Wear and tear; animal activity. | Repair small tears with wire or mesh patches. For larger damage, replace the affected section of mesh. Ensure all mesh is securely attached to the frame. |
