5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Scanning Modes

The scanner supports three operational scanning modes:

  • Manual Trigger Mode: Press the scan button to activate the laser and scan a barcode. Release the button after a successful scan.
  • Continuous Scanning Mode: The scanner continuously emits the laser, scanning any barcode that passes through its field of view without needing to press the button for each scan.
  • Auto-Sense Scanning Mode: The scanner activates the laser only when a barcode is detected within its scanning range.

To switch between these modes, scan the corresponding setup barcodes found in your physical user manual.

5.2 Data Transfer Modes

Choose how the scanner transfers data to your device:

  • Instant Upload Mode: Barcode data is transmitted immediately to the connected device after each successful scan.
  • Storage Mode (Offline Scanning): Barcode data is stored in the scanner's internal 16MB memory. This mode is useful when out of range or disconnected. Data can be uploaded in bulk to your device later by scanning the 'Upload Data' barcode (refer to the physical user manual). The scanner can store over 100,000 UPC/EAN barcodes.

To switch between these modes, scan the corresponding setup barcodes found in your physical user manual.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Eyoyo EY-015P barcode scanner, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the scanner's exterior. For the scanning window, use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the scanner or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble the device, as this will void the warranty.
  • Battery Care: For long-term storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%). Recharge the battery periodically if not in use for extended periods to prevent deep discharge.
