Operating Instructions

The VEVOR Vacuum Sealer offers various modes and functions to suit different food types and sealing needs.

Basic Vacuum Sealing Steps:

  1. Prepare the Bag: Place the food item into a VEVOR vacuum bag, ensuring there is enough space (at least 2-3 inches) at the top for sealing.
  2. Position the Bag: Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum channel, ensuring it lies flat and smooth over the sealing bar.
  3. Close the Lid: Press down firmly on both sides of the lid until you hear a "click" sound, indicating it is securely latched.
  4. Select Mode: Choose the appropriate mode (Dry, Moist, etc.) based on your food type using the control panel buttons.
  5. Start Sealing: Press the "Vac&Seal" button to initiate the vacuuming and sealing process. The machine will automatically remove air and then seal the bag.
  6. Release: Once the process is complete, the machine will release the lid. Open the lid and remove your sealed bag.

Understanding Modes:

  • Dry Mode: Ideal for solid, dry food items like nuts, dried fruits, or crackers.
  • Moist Mode: Suitable for moist or juicy foods such as raw meats, fish, or cooked vegetables.
  • Oil Mode: For foods with high oil content.
  • Powder Mode: Designed for powdered items like flour or spices, using a slower vacuum process to prevent suctioning out the powder.

Additional Functions:

  • Manual Seal: Allows you to seal a bag without vacuuming. Useful for making custom-sized bags from rolls or sealing delicate items.
  • Pulse Vacuum: Provides manual control over the vacuum process. Press and hold to vacuum, release to stop. Ideal for delicate foods that might be crushed by full vacuum.
  • Canister/Marinate: Use the external hose to vacuum seal compatible canisters or marinate food quickly.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance. Wipe the sealing bar and drip tray with a damp cloth after each use. The drip tray is removable for easy cleaning. Ensure the unit is unplugged and cooled before cleaning.
  • Gasket & Heat Strip Replacement: Periodically check the foam gaskets and heat strip for wear and tear; replace them as needed using the provided spares to maintain an effective seal.
  • Storage: Store the vacuum sealer in a dry, cool place. Ensure the lid is unlatched when storing for extended periods to prevent compression of the gaskets.

Troubleshooting

  • No Vacuum: Ensure the lid is properly latched on both sides. Check that the bag is correctly placed over the vacuum channel. Verify that the foam gaskets are clean and intact.
  • Poor Seal: Make sure the sealing strip is clean and free of debris. Avoid overfilling bags. Allow the machine to cool down between multiple seals if the sealing bar is hot.
  • Overheating: If the machine stops during prolonged use, allow it to cool down for 15-30 minutes. The built-in temperature control protects against overheating.
  • Machine Not Turning On: Check the power cord connection and ensure the outlet is functioning.
