Operating Instructions (P.A.S.S. Method)
In the event of a small, contained fire, follow the P.A.S.S. method for effective operation:
- P - Pull: Pull the pin located at the top of the extinguisher. This breaks the tamper seal.
- A - Aim: Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire, standing 12-18 feet away depending on your comfort level and the extinguisher's reach.
- S - Squeeze: Squeeze the operating lever slowly and evenly to discharge the extinguishing agent.
- S - Sweep: Sweep the nozzle from side to side at the base of the fire until the fire is completely extinguished. Watch the area in case of re-ignition.
