4. Installation Guide

The HEIXSMT HT196 door lock is designed for easy installation. Please follow these steps carefully. A small screwdriver is typically the only tool required.

4.1 Door Compatibility

4. Install Batteries: Open the battery cover on the inside handle and insert 4 AAA batteries (not included), observing correct polarity.

5. Setup and Programming

Before using the lock, you need to set up administrator fingerprints and passcodes.

5.1 Adding an Administrator Fingerprint

• The first fingerprint registered will automatically be set as the administrator.
• Press and hold the fingerprint sensor until the indicator light turns blue.
• Place your finger on the sensor multiple times, rotating slightly each time, until the lock confirms successful registration (e.g., a green light and a beep).
• The lock supports up to 100 sets of fingerprints.

5.2 Adding a Passcode

• Wake up the keypad by touching it.
• Enter the administrator fingerprint to enter programming mode.

6.1 Fingerprint Unlock

• Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor.
• The indicator light will turn green, and the lock will emit a beep, indicating successful unlocking.

6.2 Passcode Unlock

• Touch the keypad to wake it up.
• Enter your registered passcode (or anti-peeping passcode).
• Press '#' to confirm. The indicator light will turn green, and the lock will emit a beep, indicating successful unlocking.

6.3 Key Fob (IC Card) Unlock
