1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation and use of your Varghesyla Mini PC Mount, Model 9228. This mount is designed to securely hold Dell OptiPlex Micro Form Factor (MFF) computers, offering versatile mounting options to optimize your workspace and protect your device.

2. Safety Information

• Ensure all screws are tightened securely to prevent the device from falling.
• Do not exceed the recommended load capacity of 2.9 pounds.
• Verify the mounting surface (wall, desk, monitor) is strong enough to support the weight of the mount and your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC.

4. Compatible Models

This mount is compatible with Dell OptiPlex Micro Form Factor (MFF) computers with dimensions of approximately 1.4" x 7" x 7.2" (36mm x 178mm x 182mm). Compatible models include, but are not limited to:

• Dell OptiPlex MFF 3000 Series: 3020, 3040, 3046, 3050, 3060, 3070, 3080, 3090
• Dell OptiPlex MFF 5000 Series: 5050, 5060, 5070, 5090
• Dell OptiPlex MFF 7000 Series: 7010, 7020, 7040, 7050, 7060, 7070, 7080, 7080 XE, 7090
• Dell OptiPlex MFF 9020

Important Note:

• This mount is NOT compatible with OptiPlex tower or small form factor PCs.
• This mount is NOT compatible with Wyse models.

5. Installation

The Varghesyla Mini PC Mount offers three primary installation methods: VESA mount (behind a monitor), wall mount, and under-desk mount. Choose the method that best suits your workspace.

5.1. General Preparation

• Unpack all components and verify against the package contents list.
• Gather necessary tools: screwdriver, drill (for wall/under-desk), pencil.
• Attach the four rubber pads to the inside surface of the mount where the PC will rest. This provides cushioning and prevents scratches.

5.2. VESA Mount (Behind Monitor)

This method allows you to attach your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC directly to the back of a VESA-compatible monitor.

1. Ensure your monitor has a 75 x 75 mm or 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern.
2. Align the mount bracket with the VESA holes on the back of your monitor.
3. Secure the mount to the monitor using the provided VESA mount screws.
4. Place your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC into the mount.
5. Secure the PC to the mount using the provided thumb screw.
6. Use the Velcro cable straps to secure the power adapter and manage cables on top of the mount.

Important Note:

If you are mounting the OptiPlex to the back of your monitor using this mount, it will utilize the VESA holes. This means you will not be able to simultaneously use a separate monitor arm or monitor stand that also relies on these VESA holes.

5.3. Wall Mount

This method allows you to mount your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC directly to a wall.

1. Hold the mount bracket against the desired wall location and mark the four screw holes with a pencil. Ensure the bracket is level and does not slide during marking.
2. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
3. Insert the wall anchors into the pilot holes.
4. Align the mount bracket with the anchors and secure it to the wall using the provided wall mount screws.
5. Place your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC into the mount.
6. Secure the PC to the mount using the provided thumb screw.
7. Use the Velcro cable straps to secure the power adapter and manage cables on top of the mount.

5.4. Under-Desk Mount

This method allows you to mount your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC discreetly under a desk or table surface.

1. Hold the mount bracket against the underside of your desk at the desired location and mark the four screw holes with a pencil.
2. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
3. Secure the mount to the underside of the desk using the provided desk mount screws.
4. Place your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC into the mount.
5. Secure the PC to the mount using the provided thumb screw.
6. Use the Velcro cable straps to secure the power adapter and manage cables on top of the mount.

5.5. Power Adapter and Cable Management

The mount includes two Velcro straps specifically designed to secure your OptiPlex power adapter to the top of the bracket. This helps keep cables neat and organized, regardless of your chosen mounting environment.

6. Operation

Once your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC is securely mounted, its operation remains unchanged. The mount provides easy access to all ports and the power button. Ensure all necessary cables (power, display, peripherals) are connected before powering on your PC.

7. Maintenance

The Varghesyla Mini PC Mount is constructed from durable metal and requires minimal maintenance.

• Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight.
• Clean the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Ensure adequate airflow around your Dell OptiPlex Micro PC when mounted to prevent overheating. The mount's design allows for proper heat dissipation.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. Mount feels loose after installation

• Solution: Re-tighten all mounting screws. For wall mounts, ensure anchors are properly seated and the wall material is suitable. For VESA mounts, confirm the monitor's VESA holes are not stripped.

8.2. Dell OptiPlex Micro PC does not fit into the mount

• Solution: Verify your PC's dimensions against the compatible models section (1.4" x 7" x 7.2"). This mount is specifically designed for Dell OptiPlex Micro Form Factor PCs and is not compatible with larger tower or small form factor models.

8.3. Cables are messy despite using straps

• Solution: Re-route cables to minimize slack. Use additional cable ties (not included) if necessary to bundle cables more tightly.
