1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Delmodes 4K Video Camera Camcorder. This manual provides detailed instructions on how to set up, operate, and maintain your new camcorder. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper operation and to maximize its performance and lifespan.

This camcorder is designed for capturing high-quality video and still images, featuring 4K resolution, 48MP photo capability, IR night vision, and an 18X digital zoom. It is equipped with a 3.0-inch LCD touch screen for easy navigation and control.

4. Setup Guide

4.1. Installing the Battery

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom or side of the camcorder.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover open.
  3. Insert the provided NP-40 battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly with the camcorder's terminals.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.

4.2. Inserting the SD Card

The camcorder supports SDHC and SmartMedia flash memory types. A 32GB Ultra High Speed SD card is included.

  1. Locate the SD card slot, usually near the battery compartment or on the side.
  2. Insert the 32GB SD card with the metal contacts facing down (or as indicated by the slot diagram) until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.

4.3. Charging the Battery

It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use.

  1. Connect the camcorder to a power source using the provided USB cable.
  2. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will turn off or change color once charging is complete.
  3. Note: Use only the specified charger or a standard 5V USB power adapter.

4.4. Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Open the LCD screen or press the POWER button located on the camcorder body.
  • Power Off: Close the LCD screen or press and hold the POWER button until the device shuts down.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Video Recording

  1. Ensure the camcorder is powered on and in video recording mode (indicated by an icon on the LCD screen).
  2. Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
  3. Press the RECORD button (usually a red circle) to start recording. The recording indicator will flash.
  4. Press the RECORD button again to stop recording.

5.2. Taking Still Photos

  1. Switch the camcorder to photo mode (if not already). This is often done via the MODE button or touch screen menu.
  2. Frame your shot.
  3. Press the PHOTO button (often a camera icon) to capture a still image.

5.3. Using the LCD Touch Screen

The 3.0-inch LCD screen is touch-sensitive, allowing for easy navigation through menus and settings. Tap icons to select options, and swipe to scroll through lists or images.

5.4. IR Night Vision

The camcorder features an IR (Infrared) Night Vision mode for recording in low-light or dark environments.

  • To activate Night Vision, locate the IR button or select the Night Vision option from the menu.
  • The image will appear in black and white when Night Vision is active.

5.5. Digital Zoom

The camcorder offers an 18X digital zoom to magnify your subject.

  • Use the zoom lever (often labeled W/T for Wide/Telephoto) or the zoom controls on the touch screen to adjust the zoom level.
  • Note: Digital zoom can reduce image quality at higher magnifications.

5.6. PC Camera Function

You can use your camcorder as a webcam for video calls or live streaming.

  1. Connect the camcorder to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. On the camcorder's LCD screen, select "PC Camera" or "Webcam Mode" when prompted.
  3. Your computer should recognize the camcorder as a webcam. Select it in your video conferencing or streaming software.

5.7. Playback

  1. Switch the camcorder to playback mode (often indicated by a play icon).
  2. Browse through your recorded videos and photos using the navigation buttons or touch screen.
  3. Tap on a file to play a video or view a photo.

5.8. Using the Remote Controller

The included remote controller allows for convenient operation from a distance.

  • Ensure the remote has a working battery (usually a button cell battery, not always included).
  • Point the remote at the front of the camcorder.
  • Buttons include: Power, Mode, Menu, OK, Navigation (Up/Down/Left/Right), Zoom, Record, Photo, Playback, etc. Refer to the remote's labels for specific functions.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camcorder body.
  • For the lens and LCD screen, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure the camcorder is powered off before cleaning.

6.2. Storage

  • Store the camcorder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage.
  • Keep the lens cap on to protect the lens from dust and scratches.

7. Troubleshooting
