- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the circuit you are working on is turned off at the main electrical panel (circuit breaker or fuse box).
- Prepare Mounting Location: If replacing an existing fixture, carefully remove it. Ensure the junction box is securely mounted and capable of supporting the new fixture's weight.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate (included in hardware) to the junction box using the provided screws.
- Assemble Lamp Shades: The lamp shades are packed disassembled for safety. Carefully align the panels and secure them using the small screws provided. Do not overtighten until all panels are in place to allow for minor adjustments.
- Connect Wiring: With the help of another person to hold the fixture, connect the electrical wires:
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Connect the ground wire (bare copper or green) from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box and the ground screw on the mounting plate.
- Mount Fixture: Carefully lift the fixture and attach the canopy to the mounting plate, securing it with the provided screws or nuts. Adjust the chain length as desired before final tightening. The fixture comes with a 43.31-inch hanging chain, which is height adjustable.
- Install Bulbs: Screw three E26 base bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Do not exceed 60 watts per bulb.
