1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Generic Gaming PC Desktop, Model BeastliPerfPC. This high-performance system is designed for an optimal gaming and computing experience, featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and a rapid 1TB NVME Solid State Drive. It comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro, ensuring you are ready to go right out of the box.

This manual provides detailed instructions to help you set up your new computer, understand its features, and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting. Please read it carefully before operating your PC.

2. Package Contents

Upon unpacking, please ensure all items are present:

Note: Peripherals such as a monitor, keyboard, and mouse are not included and must be acquired separately.

3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Generic Gaming PC Desktop:

  1. Unpack the PC: Carefully remove the PC tower from its packaging.
  2. Place the PC: Position the PC tower on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation. Ensure no vents are blocked.
  3. Connect Peripherals:
    • Monitor: Connect your monitor to the graphics card's HDMI or DisplayPort output on the rear of the PC. Do not use the video ports on the motherboard (upper section) if a dedicated graphics card is installed.
    • Keyboard and Mouse: Connect your USB keyboard and mouse to any available USB ports.
    • Network: For wired internet, connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port. For wireless internet, ensure the Wi-Fi antenna (if included) is attached.
    • Audio: Connect speakers or headphones to the appropriate audio jacks.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cable into the PC's power supply unit (PSU) and then into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Power On: Press the power button located on the top front of the PC tower.

4. Operating Instructions

Your PC comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and is ready for use. Upon first boot, you may be guided through a brief Windows setup process to personalize your settings.

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button once to turn on the PC. To shut down, use the Windows Start menu options (Start > Power > Shut down). A quick press of the power button can also initiate sleep mode.
  • Restart: To restart the system, use the Windows Start menu options (Start > Power > Restart).
  • Connecting to Wi-Fi: If using wireless internet, click the network icon in the Windows taskbar, select your Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and connect.
  • Software Installation: Install your preferred games and applications. Ensure you download software from trusted sources.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PC:

  • Keep it Clean: Regularly clean dust from the PC's exterior and ventilation grilles using compressed air or a soft cloth. Ensure the PC is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Software Updates: Keep your Windows operating system, drivers (especially graphics drivers), and applications updated to the latest versions for security and performance improvements.
  • Antivirus Protection: Install and maintain up-to-date antivirus software to protect against malware and other threats.
  • Backup Data: Periodically back up important files to an external drive or cloud storage to prevent data loss.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, try these common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power:
    • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the PC and the electrical outlet.
    • Verify the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
    • Ensure the power switch on the back of the PSU (if present) is in the 'On' position.
  • No Display on Monitor:
    • Confirm the monitor is powered on and its input source is correctly selected.
    • Ensure the video cable (HDMI/DisplayPort) is securely connected to both the PC's graphics card output and the monitor.
    • Important: Make sure the monitor is connected to the dedicated graphics card ports, not the motherboard's integrated video ports.
  • System Slowdown/Freezing:
    • Close unnecessary applications running in the background.
    • Check for and install any pending Windows updates or driver updates.
    • Run a full system scan with your antivirus software.
  • Unusual Noises:
    • Loud fan noise might indicate dust buildup. Refer to the 'Maintenance' section for cleaning.
    • If unusual clicking or grinding noises occur, power off the PC immediately and contact support.
