3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your tankless water heater. It is highly recommended that installation be carried out by a certified professional.

3.1 Pre-Installation Requirements

• Electrical Supply: The V7B-240B model requires a 240V electrical supply. It needs 3 pieces of 40A Double Pole Circuit Breakers and 3 sets of 8AWG/2 wires with Grounding. Ensure your circuit breaker panel meets these requirements.
• Water Pressure: Ensure adequate water pressure for optimal performance.
• Location: Choose a location that is protected from freezing temperatures and is easily accessible for maintenance. The unit is compact, measuring approximately 12.2"W x 17.25"H.

3.2 Mounting the Unit

The unit is designed for wall mounting. Use the provided mounting brackets and wall anchors. A drill template is included to assist with precise hole positioning for secure installation.

3.3 Water Connections

Connect the water inlet and outlet using standard 3/4" NPT pipe fittings. The unit features clearly marked inlet (blue) and outlet (red) ports. It is recommended to install a descaling device on the water inlet and service valves on both inlet and outlet lines for easier maintenance and flushing.

3.4 Electrical Connections

Connect the live wires (black and red) to the L1 and L2 terminals, and the bare copper grounding wire to the grounding bar in the circuit breaker box. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.

3.5 Initial Startup

Before turning on the power, open all hot water faucets in your home and allow water to run through the heater for at least 2 to 3 minutes. This will purge any air out of the unit and prevent damage to the heating elements. Once water flows steadily from all faucets, close them and then turn on the power to the unit.

4.1 Powering On and Off
