Thank you for choosing the SENGBIRCH iPad Pro 12.9 Keyboard Case. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your new keyboard case. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your product.
1.1 Compatibility
This keyboard case is designed exclusively for the following iPad Pro 12.9-inch models:
- iPad Pro 12.9 (1st Generation, 2015): Model Numbers A1584, A1652
- iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd Generation, 2017): Model Numbers A1670, A1671
Note: This case is NOT compatible with iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2018 release or newer models (3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th generation).
To verify your iPad model, please check the back of your iPad for the model number (e.g., A1670).

3. Setup Guide
3.1 Installing Your iPad
- Align your iPad Pro 12.9 with the case's protective frame.
- Gently press the iPad into the case, ensuring all edges are securely fitted.
- Confirm that all ports and buttons are accessible and unobstructed.
3.2 Charging the Keyboard
Before first use, fully charge the keyboard. The keyboard features a built-in Lithium-ion battery for extended use.
- Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the keyboard.
- Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the keyboard's charging port.
- Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes 2.5 hours.
- Once fully charged, the indicator light will change or turn off (refer to keyboard's specific indicator behavior).
A single charge provides approximately 70 hours of continuous use.

3.3 Bluetooth Pairing
Follow these steps to connect your keyboard to your iPad via Bluetooth:
- Ensure the keyboard is charged.
- Turn on the keyboard by sliding the power switch to the 'ON' position. The power indicator light will briefly illuminate.
- Press the 'Connect' button on the keyboard. The Bluetooth indicator light will start blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
- Turn on Bluetooth. Your iPad will search for available devices.
- Locate and tap 'Bluetooth Keyboard' (or similar name) in the 'Other Devices' list.
- If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your iPad screen using the keyboard, then press 'Enter'.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will stop blinking and remain solid or turn off, and your iPad will show the keyboard as 'Connected'.
4. Operation
4.1 Keyboard Features

- 7-Color Backlight: Press the Light Bulb key to cycle through 7 different backlight colors.
- Adjustable Brightness: Press the Light Bulb key + Up/Down Arrow keys to adjust the backlight brightness across 3 levels.
- Operating System Switching: Use the following key combinations to switch between operating system layouts:
- Fn + Q: iOS (Apple)
- Fn + W: Android
- Fn + E: Windows
- Shortcut Keys: The top row of keys provides quick access to various functions such as home, search, volume control, and media playback.

4.2 Detachable Magnetic Keyboard
The keyboard is magnetically attached to the case, allowing for flexible use. You can easily detach it for standalone use or reattach it when needed. The strong magnetic adsorption ensures a secure hold.

4.3 Adjustable Viewing Angles
The case design allows for multiple viewing angles (e.g., 120°, 125°, 130°) to suit various activities such as typing, watching videos, or drawing. Simply adjust the iPad's position within the case to achieve your desired angle.
4.4 Auto Wake/Sleep Smart Cover
The case features an auto wake/sleep function. Opening the cover will automatically wake your iPad, and closing it will put your iPad to sleep, conserving battery life.
