Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AVS2005, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Problem: Vacuum does not turn on automatically in AUTO mode.
- Check Mode Switch: Ensure the Mode Switch is firmly set to the AUTO position.
- Verify Vacuum Power: Confirm that the vacuum cleaner itself is switched ON and functioning correctly when plugged directly into a wall outlet.
- Check Power Tool Operation: Ensure the power tool connected to the 'TOOL OUTLET' is drawing sufficient power (above 30W) when activated.
- Inspect Connections: Make sure all plugs are fully inserted into their respective outlets on the AVS2005 and the wall.
- Circuit Overload: Verify that the total wattage of the connected tools does not exceed 1875W (15A at 120V). An overloaded circuit may prevent proper operation.
- Test with another tool: Try a different power tool or vacuum to isolate if the issue is with the AVS2005 or the connected appliances.
- Problem: Vacuum runs continuously or does not turn off.
- Check Mode Switch: Ensure the Mode Switch is not set to the ON position if automatic operation is desired.
- Power Tool Signal: In AUTO mode, the vacuum should turn off 7 seconds after the power tool stops drawing power. Verify the power tool is completely off.
