Safety Information
WARNING: To avoid electric shock or personal injury, and to avoid damage to the meter or to the equipment under test, observe the following safety rules:
- Always ensure the meter is in the correct function and range before making measurements.
- Do not use the meter if it appears damaged or if the insulation on the test leads is compromised.
- Do not apply more than the rated voltage, as marked on the meter, between the terminals or between any terminal and earth ground.
- Use extreme caution when working with voltages above 60V DC or 30V AC RMS. Such voltages pose a shock hazard.
- Remove the test leads from the meter before opening the battery cover.
- Always disconnect the circuit power and discharge all high-voltage capacitors before testing resistance.
- Adhere to local and national safety codes.

Operating Instructions
1. Measuring AC Current (Clamp Measurement)
This function allows non-contact measurement of AC current in a single conductor.
- Turn the function/range switch to the desired AC Current range (20A or 200A/400A).
- Press the trigger to open the current clamp.
- Enclose only one conductor within the clamp jaws. Ensure the jaws are fully closed.
- Read the AC current value on the LCD display.

2. Measuring AC/DC Voltage
Use the test leads for voltage measurements.
- Connect the test leads as described in the "Connecting Test Leads" section.
- Turn the function/range switch to the desired AC Voltage (450V) or DC Voltage (600V) range.
- Connect the test probes in parallel to the circuit or component you wish to measure.
- Read the voltage value on the LCD display.
3. Measuring Resistance
Use the test leads for resistance measurements. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before measuring resistance.
- Connect the test leads as described in the "Connecting Test Leads" section.
- Turn the function/range switch to the "200KΩ" (Resistance) range.
- Connect the test probes across the component or circuit where you want to measure resistance.
- Read the resistance value on the LCD display.
4. Data Hold Function
Press the "DATA HOLD" button to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold and resume live readings.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Keep the input terminals free of dirt or moisture.
Battery Replacement
When the "BAT" symbol appears on the LCD display, the batteries need to be replaced. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section under Setup for instructions.
Storage
If the meter is not to be used for a long period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage to the meter.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Meter does not power on. | Dead or incorrectly installed batteries. | Check battery polarity or replace batteries. |
| "OL" or "1" displayed. | Overload or out of range measurement. | Select a higher range or ensure measurement is within meter's capabilities. |
| Inaccurate readings. | Poor test lead connection, low battery, or incorrect function/range. | Check lead connections, replace batteries, verify function/range setting. |
| No reading for AC current. | Multiple conductors in clamp, or clamp not fully closed. | Ensure only one conductor is within the clamp jaws and jaws are fully closed. |
