Setup and First Use

Charging the Toothbrush

  1. Place the handle on the charger. Ensure the charger is plugged into a working electrical outlet (AC100V-240V 50/60Hz).
  2. The battery indicator light will flash green to indicate charging.
  3. A full charge takes approximately 24 hours and provides about 2 weeks of regular use. The battery indicator will stop flashing and remain solid green when fully charged.

Attaching the Brush Head

  • Align the brush head with the metal shaft of the handle.
  • Push the brush head down firmly until it clicks into place.
  • To remove, pull the brush head straight up from the handle.

Operating Instructions

Brushing Your Teeth

  1. Wet the bristles and apply a small amount of toothpaste.
  2. Place the toothbrush bristles against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gumline.
  3. Press the power button to turn on the toothbrush.
  4. Gently move the brush head slowly across your teeth in small back-and-forth motions, allowing the Sonicare to do the work.
  5. The built-in timer will signal when you have completed the recommended brushing time.
  6. The pressure sensor will alert you if you are brushing too hard.

Cleaning Modes and Intensity Settings

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning the Toothbrush

  • After each use, rinse the brush head and bristles thoroughly under running water.
  • Wipe the handle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the handle in water.
  • Clean the charger regularly with a damp cloth, ensuring it is unplugged before cleaning.

Replacing Brush Heads

For optimal performance and hygiene, replace your brush head every 3 months, or sooner if the blue indicator bristles fade to white. Replacement brush heads are available from Philips Sonicare retailers.
