1. Introduction
This user manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your HCK Beverage Refrigerator, Model SC-130. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation, operation, or maintenance to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.
The HCK SC-130 is a freestanding beverage refrigerator designed for optimal storage of drinks, featuring a 115-liter capacity, double-glazed glass door, and a wide adjustable temperature range of 0 to 10℃ (32 to 50℉).
2. Safety Information
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury when using your appliance, follow these basic precautions:
- This unit uses a flammable refrigerant. Only have it repaired by qualified personnel. Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
- Ensure the appliance is properly grounded.
- Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.
- Keep ventilation openings in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure clear of obstruction.
- Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
- After receiving the product, allow it to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant fluids to settle.
- Ensure at least 5cm (2 inches) of clearance in all directions around the refrigerator to ensure proper heat dissipation and ventilation.

3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape.
- Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. If damage is found, do not operate the appliance and contact your retailer immediately.
- Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.
3.2 Placement
- Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface strong enough to support the unit when fully loaded.
- Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources such as ovens, radiators, or heaters, as this can increase energy consumption.
- Ensure adequate ventilation. Maintain a minimum clearance of 5cm (2 inches) on all sides (top, back, and sides) to allow for proper heat dissipation.
- For easy access to shelves and drawers, consider reserving additional space for the door to open fully.

3.3 Electrical Connection
- Before plugging in, ensure the voltage and frequency of your power supply match the ratings on the appliance's rating label (220 Volts).
- Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated, grounded wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
- After plugging in, allow the refrigerator to run empty for a few hours to reach its stable operating temperature before loading with beverages.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Temperature Control
The HCK SC-130 features a mechanical temperature controller with 7 gears, allowing precise temperature adjustment from 0℃ to 10℃ (32 to 50℉). The higher the number on the dial, the lower the temperature inside the refrigerator.
- Locate the mechanical thermostat dial, typically inside the unit near the top.
- Turn the dial to your desired setting. For colder temperatures, select a higher number.
- Allow several hours for the temperature to stabilize after making adjustments.
- Note: To minimize condensation on the glass door, it is recommended not to set the temperature control above setting 5 (out of 7), especially in humid environments.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
- Clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and a mild detergent solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Wipe down the door gasket regularly to ensure a tight seal.
- Clean the condenser coils at the back of the unit periodically (e.g., every 6-12 months) to maintain efficiency. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
5.2 Defrosting
This refrigerator features a manual defrost system. Frost buildup on the interior cooling surfaces can reduce efficiency.
- When frost accumulation reaches approximately 5mm (0.2 inches) thick, the unit should be defrosted.
- Unplug the refrigerator and remove all contents.
- Leave the door open to allow the frost to melt naturally. Place towels at the bottom to collect water.
- Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost, as this can damage the cooling system.
- Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before plugging the unit back in and reloading.
6. Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer support, please check the following common issues:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator does not operate. | No power supply. Temperature control set to "OFF" or too high. | Check if the plug is securely in the outlet. Check the circuit breaker/fuse. Adjust the temperature control to a lower setting. |
| Temperature is not cold enough. | Door is opened too frequently. Door not closed properly. Large quantity of warm items added. Poor ventilation. Temperature control set too high. | Minimize door openings. Ensure door is fully closed and sealed. Allow time for new items to cool. Ensure 5cm clearance around the unit. Adjust temperature control to a lower setting. |
| Excessive condensation on glass door. | High humidity environment. Temperature control set too low (e.g., setting 6 or 7). | This is normal in high humidity. Wipe away condensation. Try setting the temperature control to 5 or higher to reduce condensation. |
| Unusual noises. | Unit not level. Parts vibrating. Normal operating sounds. | Adjust leveling feet. Ensure nothing is touching the back or sides of the unit. Gurgling, humming, or clicking sounds are normal for refrigeration systems. |
