2. Important Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Place the digital piano on a stable, flat surface.
  3. Ensure there is adequate space around the instrument for ventilation and access to connections.

4.2 Connecting the Power Adapter

  1. Locate the DC 6V power input port on the rear panel of the piano.
  2. Connect the power adapter cable to the DC 6V input port.
  3. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before connecting or disconnecting the power.

4.3 Connecting the Sustain Pedal

  1. Locate the "PEDAL" input port on the rear panel.
  2. Connect the cable from the triple pedal to the "PEDAL" input port.

4.4 Attaching the Music Stand

Insert the music stand into the designated slot on the top panel of the digital piano.

4.5 Connecting Headphones

To practice privately, connect the included headphones to the "PHONE" jack on the rear panel. This will mute the internal speakers.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

Flip the "ON/OFF" switch on the rear panel to power on or off the digital piano.

5.2 Volume Control

Use the VOLUME + and VOLUME - buttons on the control panel to adjust the master volume.

5.3 Selecting Tones, Rhythms, and Demos

  • Tones: Press the TONE button, then use the SELECT knob or number buttons (if available) to choose from 700 available tones.
  • Rhythms: Press the RHYTHM button, then use the SELECT knob or number buttons to choose from 900 available rhythms.
  • Demos: Press the DEMO ALL button to cycle through 110 demo songs. Use START/STOP to play/pause.

5.4 Semi-Weighted Keys

The FEP300 features semi-weighted keys designed to provide a realistic piano feel. The touch sensitivity allows for dynamic expression in your playing.

5.5 Bluetooth Connectivity

The FEP300 supports dual Bluetooth link functionality, allowing connection to various music applications on your smart device.

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device (tablet, smartphone).
  2. Turn on the FEP300 Digital Piano.
  3. On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "Fesley FEP300".
  4. Once paired, you can use the piano with compatible apps like GarageBand, Flowkey, and others.

5.6 MIDI Functionality

Connect the FEP300 to a computer or other MIDI devices using a USB-B to USB-A cable (not included) via the "USB" port on the rear panel. This enables the piano to function as a MIDI controller or to receive MIDI data.

5.7 Recording Function

To record your performance:

  1. Press the REC button to start recording. The LED display may indicate recording status.
  2. Play your desired piece.
  3. Press the REC button again or STOP to end recording.
  4. Press the PLAY button to listen to your recorded performance.

5.8 Transpose Function

Use the TRANSPOSE button to shift the pitch of the entire keyboard up or down in semitone steps.

5.9 Split Function

The SPLIT function allows you to divide the keyboard into two sections, each with a different tone. Refer to the on-screen display or specific instructions for selecting the split point and tones.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Use the provided dustproof cloth or a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the piano.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
  • For keys, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth and then dry immediately.

6.2 Storage

  • When not in use, cover the piano with the dustproof cloth to protect it from dust and debris.
  • Store the instrument in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting
