3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your PicassoTiles Marble Run:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all 60 pieces and marbles from the packaging.
  2. Review Idea Booklet: Consult the included Idea Booklet for various design suggestions and construction examples. This booklet provides guidance on how many of each piece are needed for specific structures.
  3. Connect Magnetic Tiles: The translucent color tiles feature quick-connect magnets. Simply bring the edges of two magnetic tiles together, and they will snap into place.
  4. Assemble Track Pieces: Attach the columns, slopes, funnels, and U-turn pieces to the magnetic tiles. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent the structure from collapsing during play. The track pieces are designed to fit into the circular holes on the magnetic tiles.
  5. Build Your Structure: Use your imagination or follow the designs in the Idea Booklet to construct a multi-layer 3D maze race track. Experiment with different configurations to observe how gravity and physics affect the marble's path.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and cleanliness of your PicassoTiles Marble Run set:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the plastic pieces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the material.
  • Storage: Store all pieces in the original sturdy box or a suitable container to prevent loss and damage. Keep away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Inspection: Periodically check pieces for any signs of wear or damage. Discontinue use of any broken pieces to ensure safety.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues while using your marble run set, consider the following:

  • Pieces Not Snapping Together: Ensure the magnetic tiles are aligned correctly. The magnets are designed for quick connection, but proper alignment is necessary. Apply gentle, firm pressure.
  • Structure Instability: If the structure is wobbly or falls apart easily, reinforce the base and key connection points with additional magnetic tiles or columns. Ensure all track pieces are fully inserted into the tile holes.
  • Marbles Getting Stuck: Check the path for any misaligned track pieces or obstructions. Ensure slopes are steep enough for gravity to propel the marbles effectively.
