5. Setup and Assembly

5.1 Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Ensure the polisher is turned off and the trigger safety lock is engaged.
  2. To install the battery, align the battery pack with the slot in the polisher handle and slide it in until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove the battery, press the battery lock buttons on both sides of the battery pack and slide it out.

Charging the Battery:

  • Connect the charger to a standard power outlet.
  • Insert the battery pack into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
  • Charge the battery fully before first use and whenever the battery level is low.

5.2 Attaching Backing Plate and Polishing Pads

  1. Ensure the polisher is off and the battery is removed.
  2. Engage the spindle lock (if applicable) or use the provided wrench to hold the spindle.
  3. Screw the backing plate onto the spindle until it is secure. Use the wrench to tighten if necessary.
  4. Attach the desired polishing pad to the backing plate. The pads feature a hook-and-loop (velcro) backing for quick and secure attachment.

6. Operation

6.1 Powering On and Speed Adjustment

  1. Ensure a fully charged battery is installed and the desired pad is attached.
  2. Disengage the trigger safety lock.
  3. Press the variable speed trigger to start the polisher. The speed can be adjusted using the speed control switch, offering a range of 0-2800r/min (rotary) and 0-8300r/min (orbital).
  4. Release the trigger to stop the polisher. Engage the safety lock when not in use.

  • Apply a small amount of polishing compound directly to the pad or the work surface.
  • Place the pad flat on the surface before starting the polisher to prevent compound splatter.
  • Move the polisher in a consistent, overlapping pattern (e.g., cross-hatch) to ensure even coverage.
  • Maintain light to moderate pressure. Excessive pressure can generate heat and damage the surface.
  • Work on small sections at a time (e.g., 2x2 feet) to ensure the compound does not dry out.
  • Wipe off excess compound with a clean microfiber cloth after each section.
