2. Product Overview

The FEISIKE RV Backup Camera System includes the following components:

  • 7-inch 1080P HD Monitor: Provides a clear, wide view with adjustable brightness, contrast, and saturation. Features a sun shade for improved visibility.
  • Backup Camera: Equipped with a photosensitive device and 9 LED lights for clear night vision. Offers a 150° wide-angle view and is IP69 waterproof rated for all-weather conditions.
  • 66ft Video Wire: Ensures a stable, no-delay wired connection between the camera and monitor.
  • Cigarette Lighter Adapter: For convenient power supply to the monitor.
  • Power Cable: For direct wiring options.
  • Suction Cup Bracket: For mounting the monitor to the windshield.
  • Mounting Screws and T-Taps: For secure installation.

3. Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Pre-Installation

It is recommended to fully charge the camera before the initial installation to ensure optimal battery performance.

4.2. Monitor Installation

  1. Attach the suction cup bracket to the monitor.
  2. Clean the desired mounting area on your windshield or dashboard.
  3. Secure the monitor using the suction cup bracket to the cleaned surface, ensuring it does not obstruct your view.
  4. Connect the monitor to a 12V power source using the provided cigarette lighter adapter or by wiring it directly to an ACC/fuse.

4.3. Camera Installation

The camera can be installed in two primary ways:

  1. Wired to Reverse Light: Connect the camera's red wire to the vehicle's reverse light positive (+) and the black wire to ground (-). This powers the camera only when reversing.
  2. Wired to Running Light/License Plate Light: Connect the camera's red wire to a running light or license plate light positive (+) and the black wire to ground (-). This provides continuous power, allowing the camera to function as a rear-view mirror.

Securely mount the camera to the rear of your vehicle, typically above the license plate or on a suitable metal surface, ensuring a clear view. Use the provided screws for a firm attachment.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Monitor Controls

The monitor features several buttons for control:

  • Power Button: Turns the monitor on/off.
  • M (Menu) Button: Accesses the menu for settings adjustments.
  • V1/V2 Button: Manually switches between video channels (if a second camera is connected). Channel V2 takes priority for safety.
  • - / + Buttons: Adjust values within the menu (e.g., brightness, contrast) or navigate menu options.
  • OK Button: Confirms selections within the menu.

5.2. Image Adjustments

Access the monitor's menu to adjust settings such as brightness, contrast, and saturation to optimize your viewing experience.

5.3. Parking Guide Lines

The system provides adjustable parking guide lines. You can turn these lines on or off and customize their alignment based on your vehicle's size and preferences, aiding in precise maneuvering and reducing collision risks.

5.4. Image Flip

The image flip function allows you to adjust the camera's view (e.g., mirror image) to suit your preference, which is particularly useful for reversing.

5.5. Night Vision

The camera automatically activates its night vision feature in low-light conditions, utilizing its photosensitive device and LED lights to provide a clear view, enhancing safety during nighttime operations.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens and monitor screen with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Connection Checks: Periodically inspect all wiring connections to ensure they remain secure and free from corrosion.
  • Weather Protection: The camera is IP69 waterproof, designed to withstand heavy rain and snow. However, avoid direct high-pressure water jets on the camera.
  • Temperature Resistance: The camera is built with metal materials resistant to extreme cold (-22°F) and high temperatures (176°F).

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Signal/Black Screen:
    • Check all power connections to both the monitor and the camera.
    • Ensure the video cable is securely connected between the camera and monitor.
    • Verify the camera is receiving power (e.g., vehicle is in reverse if wired to reverse light).
  • Poor Image Quality:
    • Clean the camera lens.
    • Adjust monitor brightness, contrast, and saturation settings.
    • Ensure the camera is securely mounted and not vibrating.
  • Intermittent Signal:
    • Check for loose cable connections.
    • Ensure the cable is not pinched or damaged.
